Parallel Virtual File System
is a file system developed under Linux for use with Beowulf parallel
computing systems. It includes facilities to stripe data among nodes
and coordinate parallel access to file data.
Problem Solving Environments
are program development environments that are designed for a specific
application area. Unlike most software, a problem solving envionment
assists the programmer in developing a custom code, rather than forcing
each problem into one specific solution method. Further, PSE's tend to
assist the programmer in generating better code than would typically be
be generated manually.
Reconfigurable Computing
is currently being used in research focusing on three areas:
Macintosh Telemetry and Command (MacTAC)
was started to develop a low-cost desktop telemetry system. The project
has met with great success and currently has fully operational systems
deployed at various NASA sites.
