This is the pond in the middle of the temple ruins. This place was very serene; a place that was very conducive for pondering various issues. There were only three people here besides myself and the care-takers so I took the opportunity to really experience my surroundings. This was truly my favorite place in Japan.

As you can see, these are rice patties. I'm not sure but I think they do this as a tourist thing then really growing rice for food.

This was right next to the ruins; however it was free (I had to pay like 15 bucks for the other place). This is an old shine.

So Warren, Eliot, and I were trying to find a Toy's R US in downtown Sendai. A friend of Warren's said we could find it near the place I took this picture which is at the top of a hill. Unfortunately, a local informed us that there was no such store.

Another shot of the city of Sendai. I think this is on the way back from Tohoku University to Warren's dorm (the International House -> its where all the foreigners stay)
